ROSS Kellett was in excellent form as he shared fifth place in the Portuguese Amateur Championship.
However, the 22-year-old Motherwell golfer was frustrated at the end as he believed he was in a position to win it.
Kellett was named last week in the European team to face Asia/Pacific in India in April.
And at the Portuguese event he was soon into his stride with rounds of 68, 69 and 70 to end the third round in second place on nine under par, three shots behind France's Alexander Levy.
However, a final round 73 saw him slip back on a day that belonged to France who filled the first four places.
