MOTHERWELL band, The Daisy Park, are among the acts giving their support to a musical fundraising initiative in aid of Yorkhill's sick kids.

The charity compilation 'Doing it for the Kids 08' started life as a way of raising a few pounds for the Glasgow hospital's Children's Foundation.

However, the project snowballed from a collaboration between a few musical friends and contacts into an ambitious 65 track limited edition triple CD.

Daisy Park, a four-piece group comprising Ronnie Campbell, Gordon Colquhoun, Paul Mathieson and Gordon Weir, are one of dozens of bands signed and unsigned, local and international, young and old -and even the odd major label act - to show their support.

Available for download from www.resonancestore.com/yorkhillproject, all 65 tracks can be purchased at a discount price of £6.49.

In addition, there are to be 266 individually numbered CDs available for auction, one for each bed in the hospital with each one carrying a ward and bed number from the hospital.

These limited edition CDs will be auctioned over coming months, with all proceeds of the download and CD auction going to the charity.

Daisy Park are also currently recording their own debut album at Reeltime studios in Motherwell, with a view to the record being released in the summer.
