LANARKSHIRE Mosque teamed up with local community organisations for its annual football event at Keir Hardie Sports Centre in Holytown on Sunday.

This year's participants in the Community Cup were Strathclyde Police, Strathclyde Fire and Rescue, Scottish Ambulance Service, Well Foundation charity, North Lanarkshire Council and Lanarkshire Mosque.

Each organisation played each other in seven-a-side games in a round robin tournament with the top two teams, Strathclyde Fire and Rescue and Lanarkshire Mosque, going through to the final where the firefighters came out on top.
