YOUNGSTERS had fun in the sun as the first of a series of Greenlink summer events came to town on Thursday.
The day, held behind the Globe Stadium site in Braidhurst Street, North Motherwell, featured a range of family-friendly activities such as football coaching and arts and crafts.

There was also bouncy castles and workshops promoting fruit and vegetable growing.

Young cyclists were shown some tricks from members of the Greenlink Mountain Bike Club, while everyone was free to join in a game of rounders.

The second event is being held today Thursday (July 15) at the Kinlock Drive football pitches in Forgewood between 1 and 4pm, while the third and last event of the series will be held on Community Road, Orbiston, next to Bellshill Golf Club, next Thursday (July 22), again between 1 and 4pm.
