Motherwell music festival celebrates 40 years of civic centre complex

TICKETS for the 10-date Motherwell Music Festival are now on sale.
The council-organised programme will run throughout August at Motherwell Concert Hall and Theatre, marking the success of the complex over the past 40 years.

It will kick off with The Donnie Munro (ex Runrig) Band on Thursday, 13, followed by Glenn Tilbrook (ex Squeeze) with Nick Harper and Paul Rose the next night.

The BMX Bandits, The Primary 5 and Jim McCulloch will take to the stage on Saturday, 15, while the following evening will feature JJ Gilmour and Kevin McDermott.

Martin Taylor's Spirit of Django will be Monday, 17's act, while Eric Bogle and John Munro will perform on Tuesday, 18 and Teenage Fanclub on Thursday, 20.

Friday, 21 will see The Complete Stone Roses take to the stage, followed by Macfloyd on Saturday, 22, with the finale on Saturday 29 starring The Wholigans and The Underground Jam.
