Outlook rosy for park restaurant
THE newly named Glasshouse restaurant at Alona Hotel in Strathclyde Park has received a prestigious AA Rosette for culinary excellence.
The award follows its inclusion in the Michelin 2008 guide. The restaurant has previously been awarded the RAC listing for excellent food.
Under the mantle of a new team including restaurant manager John Gilsennan and head chef Leon Quate, the restaurant is expecting to reach new heights.
Leon said: "We are delighted to receive such a high accolade from the AA.
"We have worked extremely hard to ensure all our food is of the highest standard and diners enjoy a first class experience every time they visit The Glasshouse.
"The beauty of the restaurant is that it appeals to a wide base of customers. It's already popular with the business community, the introduction of our afternoon teas has attracted a real mix of visitors and we also have families returning time and again for our Sunday lunch.
"It really is the beginning of a new era for The Glasshouse restaurant – with its new name, new team and new menus."
