OVER £3,000 was raised for New Stevenston tot Millie McMenemy at a race night.
Mum Diane and dad Paul were overwhelmed as well-wishers packed Holytown's General Motors Club.
And they were left gobsmacked as the kind-hearted lot dug deep to raise £3,400.
The night was organised by Bellshill woman Kirsty Connell, a friend of the couple's extended family, and featured various raffles and competitions in addition to the races.
The cash will be used to fund trips to Spain for one-year-old Millie to receive special treatment for Zellweger Syndrome, a rare condition which affects only four other people in the UK.
Although there is no cure for the illness, Diane and Paul take their daughter to Barcelona, where doctors have developed a new drug that could curb the effects of the condition and increase life expectancy, every six months.
The family have embarked on a number of fundraising events to allow the visits to continue, and are humbled by the support that keeps rolling in from all over Lanarkshire and beyond.
Diane said: "Friday night was absolutely amazing, it was such an emotional night for us.
"We would like to say a big thank you to Kirsty for everything she has done for Millie and our family, and to Real Radio's Steve McKenna who took time out to come along and help host the night.
"We'd also like to thank our friends and family who have turned out at every event and supported us from the very beginning, including Jackie and everyone at Club Taxis, who already sponsor Millie on a monthly basis but still came along to show their support.
"Thanks to Alan McPhail of TDG for organising prizes on the night, Maureen McIlroy of Central Mobility for her continued support and Alan and Yvonne Murphy and everyone at Wincanton.
"Special thanks to everyone who came along on the night to raise a phenomenal amount of money for our precious baby girl."
The night also saw Kirsty present Diane and Paul with a certificate from Flyglobespan, which has agreed to provide Millie with four return flights from Glasgow to Barcelona from the age of two, when she will have to pay adult fare.
