Rehearsals are in full swing, with the cast turning out three times a week to fine tune their various commitments to solo, duet, ensemble, choral harmony and choreography.
Under the control of Peter MacFarlane, producer, David Fisher, musical director, Cameron Merrieweather, assistant musical director and Anne McEwan Manuel, choreographer, the whole company is certain to go home from rehearsals tired but content with their night's work having polished another routine.
The extent of the musical programme and the complementary physical movement involved will be presented by means of themed sections of entertainment.
Audiences will be treated to an opening designed around I got Rhythm and be whirled on through music from the films, the 50's, the shows, some classical inclusion, as well as the varied solo, duet and ensemble offerings.
Here is a selection of music on the programme that is certain to have audiences singing along and maybe stirring up a wish to join in the dance movements.
The mood will change constantly from such as the wistful sounds of As Time Goes By and Moon River to the lilting Somewhere My Love or to the dramatic James Bond Theme and Goldfinger.
A further change and swing along to Bye Bye Love, Rock to Great Balls of Fire and You Can't Stop the Beat, or just listen to the intricacy of the dual presentation of I Believe / Ave Maria.
As the show moves on, there are musical treats to be heard from the Lion King such as, Circle of life, Hakuna Matata and Can you Feel The Love Tonight. Further offering include Over the Rainbow from Witches, a complete section of Abba, a cabaret spot featuring Mack the Knife and Hello Again.
Moving towards the finale the strains can be heard of Let it Be and 500 Miles.
Add a few more well known tunes and it all adds up to an absorbing night of pleasurable listening.
