Bellshill singing star shows she has the X Factor

BELLSHILL singer Lisa McKechnie proved she had the X Factor when she appeared on the same stage as the stars of the hit TV series during their recent Glasgow gig.

Lisa (19) had initially been invited to perform at the after-show party of 'An Evening with X Factor' at the Clyde Auditorium in front of Stacey Solomon, Danyl Johnson, Jamie Archie, Ricky Loney and Same Difference.

Lisa was given the opportunity after she won a heat of the Lanarkshire's Got Talent competition at the Corner Bar in Wishaw — she'll compete for the 1,500 top prize next month.

However, when she turned up for rehearsals at the Armadillo the organisers were so taken with her voice they asked her to perform three songs on stage in front of thousands of X Factor fans.

Her mum Kathleen said: "There must have been around 190 family and friends at the Armadillo to support her and she was only supposed to be performing at the after-show party so everyone was thrilled when we found out Lisa would be performing for the crowd.

Lisa isn't the only talented member of her family as her sister Katelyn (12) won the Haven's Got Talent competition at the Haggarston Castle holiday park.
