Exhibition will feel the force

A NEW exhibition at Motherwell Heritage Centre invites visitors to explore the forces of the natural world.

Feel the Force opened on Saturday, July 3, and will run over the summer and will include a series of hands-on science themed activities for children.

Among the exhibits for visitors to try out are a gyro wheel, roller race and magnetic pendulum. Other forces are shown through an air cannon, vortex bottles and water fountains.

Centre manager Gillian Brogan said: "The forces of nature are invisible, but they affect every moment of our lives. You can feel them in many different ways, driving, cycling and even walking on a windy day.

"This is an exhibition where visitors of all ages are actively encouraged to get busy with our large-scale interactive exhibits and there's also lots of kid's activities and workshops over the holidays."
