It's a pirates life as Ian returns for Motherwell panto

FOLLOWING his star turn as Muddles in Jack and the Beanstalk last year, Ian 'Sheepie' Smith has been invited back to perform in the Motherwell Theatre pantomime Peter Pan.

Twelve months ago he had audiences rolling in the aisles and is sure to have a smiliar effect this year as Captain Hook's hapless sidekick Smee.

Sheepie will be joined by Martin Clark as Peter, Amanda McLaren as Wendy, James Dinsmore as Captain Hook/Mr Darling and Vikki Sparkes as Tiger Lily/Mrs Darling.

Peter Pan is performed at Motherwell Theatre from November 22 to January 4, with Spillers Pantomimes producing the show for the fifth consecutive year produce the show.

Ticket prices range from 10 to 12.50 with discounts available to groups and schools.

To book 01698 403120, visit any North Lanarkshire library or log onto www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk.

The venue management are currently researching the history of the Civic Centre and would like to hear from anyone who remembers the opening on December 9, 1970.

In particular they are trying to locate a copy of a film about the construction made by William Stewart that was shown on the night.

If you can help call 01698 274545 or e-mail motherwellconcerthall@northlan.gov.uk.
