Motherwell gig promotes mental health
THE first Soundminds gig of 2010 takes place at South Dalziel Studios in Motherwell on Saturday, September 11.
By using a mix of music, youth and performance, Soundminds 2010 aims to promote positive mental health in young people by showcasing musical talent in Lanarkshire.
The Soundminds events, part of The Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival, starts at 7.30pm and will feature sets from Jamie Keenan (pictured) of the La Fontaines, Sean Murray, 4dayweekend and Emma Dunlop.
This week also coincided with Suicide Prevention Week and in partnership with Choose Life, the group hosted three gigs in three different schools in four hours.
Tickets for the Soundminds event are 2 and will be available on the door. It is for strictly over 14s.
