Muiredge hits all the right notes
TALENTED pupils at an Uddingston school have been hitting the right notes to earn the Supercounty Choral Connections Rosebowl award for 2010.
Both of Muiredge Primary School's choirs were presented with the accolade, which aims to pay tribute to choral singing achievements in the community.
Supercounty chairman Ian Livingstone presented the award.
He said: "Over the years, we have received entries from both infant and senior choirs from the same school but this is the first time both choirs from the same school were selected to perform at the event.
"We know that both choirs are very enthusiastic and love singing — their excellent performance at the choir festival confirmed that."
Muiredge acting headteacher Alison Hope added: "We're thrilled to receive this award and it was a wonderful rewarding way to round off our session."
