PREPARATORY roadworks for the new Tesco in Bellshill will begin at the Gartcosh Walk/North Road roundabout on Monday, July 6.
The work is to divert underground services, and will be controlled by temporary traffic signals.
Significant disruptions are likely on North Road, Gartcosh Walk and Campbell Street and will be followed by a second set of works on the roundabout itself which are expected to last around 10 weeks.
Tesco have now been given planning permission to build a car park on the site of the former Somerfield building following a site visit and hearing.
