Getting the chop to help raise money for MacMillan
The 32-year-old care worker at Bearsden’s Canniesburn Care Home hoped to raise £1,000 for MacMillan Cancer Support last Friday when she braved the clippers, but has now topped the £1,500 mark.
The mother, who has a four-year-old son called Caiden, said: “My aunt had breast cancer and I thought, as I’m not very good at running or baking, I’d give this a go.”

Lisa added: “This is the first time I have done this and I’d like to thank everyone who donated. On the day we collected £190. It was a fantastic day. A lot of relatives and staff came to watch and Caiden even got his hair cut, but not as short as mine.”
