Doors open at new Bothwell Primary
THE new Bothwell Primary School threw open its doors to pupils last week.
The 8.3 million school boasts 12 classrooms, a gym, dining hall and a hi-tec ICT suite.
Leader the council, Councillor Eddie McAvoy, said: "These new schools will enhance the learning environment and enrich the academic experiences of pupils and teachers.
"The wider community will also benefit from the new schools when they take advantage of the all-weather pitches which will be available for public use in the evenings and weekends."
Andy Stronach, framework manager for Bovis Lend Lease, added: "We take much pride in seeing the joy on the faces of the staff and pupils when they see their brand new facilities for the first time, that makes our efforts all the more worthwhile."
