JOBLESS BOOST

MILLIONS of pounds is set to be spent tacking unemployment throughout North Lanarkshire.

As the Times & Speaker went to press, it was understood the council would approve ambitious plans at the regeneration committee meeting on Wednesday.

The proposal centres around boosting the number of people supported into work by the North Lanarkshire’s Working partnership to 5,000 over the next three years.
