Police arrest four as neighbours reach breaking point over Thorndean disorder

FOUR people were arrested following an incident in Linnet Road, Bellshill, prompting neighbours to suggest part of the street should be demolished.

Strathclyde Police confirmed they are regularly called out to Linnet Road and say that this isn't the first time they have arrested this particular quartet.

At 1.30am on Saturday, June 27, officers from Bellshill Police Office saw several males running from the common drying area to the rear of the flats being pursued by two others who were in possession of an axe and a golf club.

Two men aged 22 and 18 from Bellshill and Viewpark were apprehended, as were two famelas of the same decription later that day.

One neighbour said: "We are currently living in the same street with some of the worst anti-social people it has ever been my misfortune to encounter."
