Viewpark GP practice closes
A VIEWPARK GP practice is to close ob friday, July 3.
Dr D'Silva and Partners is quitting Viewpark Health Centre to provide a 'more up-to-date and efficient' service to patients from its Bothwell site.
The practice advised the health board of its plans in January, with a consultation period held to allow patients to have their say.
Around 3,000 patients are registered with the practice in Viewpark, and a further 7,000 in Bothwell.
Of the 3,000 affected, it is believed around 100 have decided join other practices in Viewpark Health Centre, while the rest will visit their own GP at Bothwell Medical Centre.
