Work set to start on new roundabout for Bellshill

WORK will begin next week on a new roundabout which is being built in Bellshill’s Hamilton Road.

The roundabout, at the road’s junction with Farmgate Square and Queens Crescent, is expected to take around three months to complete and is one of the last improvements carried out by North Lanarkshire Council as part of the long-running Bellshill Town Centre Action Plan.

Contractors Amey Public Services have been granted permission for the temporary closure of parts of Mansfield Road, Farmgate Square and Queens Crescent to allow the work to take place.
