Third case of E coli reported
This third case is an adult who had already been identified as a link between the two children who were found to have E coli.
As there have been no new cases identified, the nursery remains open.

Hide AdDr David Cromie, Consultant in Public Health Medicine, NHS Lanarkshire, said: "NHS Lanarkshire and North Lanarkshire Council are continuing to work closely with the Step by Step Nursery to ensure that we minimise the risk of further spread.
"It is very important that we are made aware of any further cases, should they arise. I would therefore advise parents of children who attend the nursery that if their child has symptoms of vomiting or diarrhoea, he or she should always be kept off nursery until clear of symptoms for a minimum of 48 hours.
"If blood is present in the stool or if they are concerned about their child's health, they should also report this urgently to their general practitioner."
