Young artists put Christ in the picture
Carfin Council of the Knights of St Columba once again sponsored the event which attracted 658 entries from primary schools.
Winners were - 5-7 years: 1. Naomi Harrison, 2. Adam Formosa, 3. Matthew Moran (all St Patrick’s Primary, New Stevenston); 8-9 years: 1. Lauren Skivicki (Christ the King Primary, Holytown), 2. Gabrielle Connor (St Teresa’s Primary, Newarthill), 3. Elizabeth Ross (Cathedral Primary, Motherwell); 10-12 years: 1. Ryan Swan (Our Lady and St Francis Primary, Carfin), 2. Filip Sztzepamiak (St Bernadette’s Primary, Motherwell).
The overall Carfin Council winner was Naomi Harrison.

Hide AdCateogry winners went forward to the Provincial competition which, like the Carfin Council contest, was judged by Jennifer Clark.
Once again Naomi Harrison took first place in the 5-7 years category and Lauren Skivicki again won the 8-9 years section, with Esme Colenso (Cathedral) second.
Filip Sztzepamiak won the 10-12 years category and was also the overall Provincial winner. His entry has been submitted for the Supreme Council competition covering the whole of Britain, and Carfin Council wishes him every success.
The Knights of St Columba thank all participants, teachers and members who helped make the competition a great success.
