Motherwell's Craig Tanner to miss rest of season after freak injury sustained in training
Tanner, one of Motherwell’s best performers in recent weeks, picked up a knee injury in training on Wednesday.
The forward, who has nine goals and eight assists to his name this term, will have an operation after an injury to his patella tendon at Dalziel Park.

Hide Ad“Craig suffered an unfortunate injury through the week,” the manager said.
“It was a freak incident that happened with nobody near him as he tried a crossfield pass.
“Sadly for Craig, and for us, we’ll be without him for a few months.
”He’s been an important part of our setup and we’ll give him all the support he needs as he works his way back.”

Hide AdRobinson said that everyone at Motherwell FC wished Tanner a speedy recovery.
The ex-Plymouth Argyle ace will be especially gutted to miss the business end of what has been a largely fine season for the Steelmen.
He’ll be absent from the Scottish Cup semi-final against Aberdeen on Saturday, April 14 and all of ’Well’s remaining matches in this season’s Scottish Premiership.
