Jamie steps up charity efforts

MOSSEND police officer Jamie Kerr has completed the third leg of his near 200-mile challenge to raise funds for the Dogs Trust canine charity.

Jamie (22), who is based at Shettleston Police Office, took part in the Clyde Stride 40-mile Ultra Marathon from Patrick to Lanark.

Having already done the Monklands Half Marathon and the Edinburgh Marathon this was the third of eight races he intends to do before the end of October.

Kerr completed the race in a time of 7.50:50, and was 55th of the 85 finishers.
